Here are some of the most common questions we get asked…

Q: Can we bring a dog?

A: Yes two of our pods, Damson & Lavender allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs. please see our dog section below for more info and the rules for dogs on site.

Q: What deposit do I need to pay?

A: The deposit is 25%. The balance is due 6 weeks before your stay with us.

Q: Can I cancel my stay?

Q: Is there a minimum stay?

A: Yes, two nights minimum stay year round (although please check for last-minute ONE-night stays if availability). And three-night minimum stay during school & bank holidays.

Q: Can I book over the phone?

A: Yes. We have live online booking but you can also call us on 01335 216220 between 8am-8pm.

Q: Are you open in the winter?

A: Yes, we are open year round, the pods are fully insulated & have heaters

Q: What time can we arrive?

A: Arrival time is from 3pm and departure time is 10am (unless a Sunday when it’s 5pm – to make the most of your weekend) We operate a self-check in, sending details prior to arrival but ask for you to arrive by 10pm.

Q: Why book direct?

Q: Can I hire bikes?

Q: Are you eco-friendly?

A: With the farms aim to improve environmental sustainability along with being energy conscious the glamping site was built with the natural landscape and surroundings in mind. Onsite you’ll find renewable energy generated from the farm wind turbine, full recycling, composting, eco cleaning products, refillable bottles and led lighting (no bright lights here), all part of the sites eco innovatives.

Q: Can I get flowers delivered to the pod to surprise someone for a special treat?

Q: We’re a small group looking for an onsite activity?

Q: Can I travel to you by public transport?

A: Yes, the nearest train station is either Derby, Belper or Uttoxeter. There are then bus routes to the town of Ashbourne and a taxi thereafter is necessary. We recommend ‘Dovelin Cars’ at https://www.dovelincars.com/ who provide a service to our site from Ashbourne.

Q: Where is the closest bus stop?

A: Kniveton village or Corley Lane (A517) 3 miles from the farm.

Q: How far is Ashbourne town away?

A: 4 miles which is the nearest shops.

Q: Where is the nearest pub for food?

A: The Red Lion at Kniveton, approx. 40 mins walk away.

Q: Can I charge my electric vehicle/bike?

A: Yes, there is basic onsite charging facilities – please contact us prior to arrival to arrange.

Bringing your dog glamping...

  • Dogs must always be kept controlled and on a lead, to ensure other guests’ safety and we are a working farm with livestock roaming in the fields
  • No dogs should be left alone inside the pod, and please keep dogs OFF the beds and bed linen
  • Please use your own dog’s bed and bowls
  • We have animals grazing the fields therefore always keep your dog on a lead
  • Please clean up after your dog - doggy bags are provided and dispose of in the appropriate bin
  • There is an outside tap for washing your dog, please use this facility
  • We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if the dog is a nuisance or danger to livestock
