Here are the answers to some of the most common questions….

Q: Can we bring a dog?

A: Yes all our pods are pet friendly and can accommodate up to 2 dogs. Dogs are charged at £25 per stay. 

Q: Do you allow one night stays? 

A: During Autumn and Winter, we do offer a limited number of one night stays mainly during midweek and some off peak weekends. 

Q: Can I cancel my stay?

Q: Is there a minimum stay?

A: Yes, a minimum stay of two nights during Summer and Bank Holidays. One night stays are available at other times of the year.

Q: How do I check availability and book at stay? 

A: You can check live availability on our website and book a stay through our online booking system. 

Q: Are you open in the winter?

A: Yes, we are open year round, the pods are fully insulated & have heaters

Q: What time can we arrive?

A: Arrival time is from 3pm and departure time is 10am (unless a Sunday when it’s 5pm – to make the most of your weekend) We operate a self-check in, sending details prior to arrival but ask for you to arrive by 9.30pm.

Q: Can I hire bikes?

A: Cycle hire is available in Ashbourne, you can contact https://www.thebikebarnashbourne.co.uk/ to arrange or if you’d like to try an ebike adventure https://ebike-escapes.co.uk/ these can be delivered onsite ready for your stay.

Q: Are you eco-friendly?

A: Onsite you’ll find renewable energy generated from the farm wind turbine, EV charging, full recycling, composting, eco cleaning products, refillable bottles and led lighting (no bright lights here), all part of the farms eco innovatives.

Q: Can I get flowers delivered to the pod to surprise someone for a special treat?

Q: We’re a small group looking for an onsite activity?

Q: Can I travel to you by public transport?

A: Yes, the nearest train station is either Derby, Belper or Uttoxeter. There are then bus routes to the town of Ashbourne and a taxi thereafter is necessary. We recommend ‘Dovelin Cars’ at https://www.dovelincars.com/ who provide a service to our site from Ashbourne.

Q: Where is the closest bus stop?

A: Kniveton village or Corley Lane (A517) 3 miles from the farm.

Q: How far is the nearest shop?

A: We are approximately 4 miles from Ashbourne where you will find a range of shops. There is also a farm shop selling some fantastic local produce at Hulland Ward 

Q: Where is the nearest pub for food?

A: The Red Lion at Kniveton, approx. 40-50 mins walk away across public footpaths (appropriate footwear recommended and a understanding of the Countryside Code.

Q: Can I charge my EV electric vehicle/bike?

A: Yes we have a shared Voltshare 7.5kW EV charger onsite, perfect for those arriving in electric or hydrid cars.
